Installation requires drilling holes for the installation of PLUSNUTS/rivet nuts in the rain gutters of the roof. This requires some skill as well as the use of sealant to seal the mounting points from water intrusion and as such, professional installation is strongly recommended.
While we provide instructions for the installation of the roof rack and it is not too complicated for the seasoned DIY installer, we recommend professional installation due to the work required and the proximity to the air bags when installing the rivet nuts for the mounting points.
